READINGS FOR TODAY
First Reading: Leviticus 13:1-2, 44-46
(Laws concerning Skin Diseases)
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,
2 “When a man shall have a rising in his body’s skin, or a scab, or a bright spot, and it becomes in the skin of his body the plague of leprosy, then he shall be brought to Aaron the priest, or to one of his sons the priests:
44 he is a leprous man. He is unclean. The priest shall surely pronounce him unclean. His plague is on his head.
45 “The leper in whom the plague is shall wear torn clothes, and the hair of his head shall hang loose. He shall cover his upper lip, and shall cry, ‘Unclean! Unclean!’ The Blessed Eucharist is the perfect Sacrament of the Lord's Passion, since It contains Christ Himself and his Passion.

Psalms: Psalm 32:1-2, 5, 11
(Confession and Forgiveness)
1 Blessed is he whose disobedience is forgiven, Whose sin is covered.
2 Blessed is the man to whom Yahweh doesn’t impute iniquity, In whose spirit there is no deceit.
5 I acknowledged my sin to you. I didn’t hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh,
And you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
11 Be glad in Yahweh, and rejoice, you righteous! Shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart!
Second Reading: 1 Corinthians 10:31 -- 11:1
31 Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
32 Give no occasions for stumbling, either to Jews, or to Greeks, or to the assembly of God;
33 even as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of the many, that they may be saved.
1 Corinthians 11:1
1 Be imitators of me, even as I also am of Christ.
Gospel: Mark 1:40-45(Jesus Heals a Man)40 There came to him a leper, begging him, kneeling down to him, and saying to him, “If you want to, you can make me clean.”
41 Being moved with compassion, he stretched out his hand, and touched him, and said to him, “I want to. Be made clean.”
42 When he had said this, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was made clean.
43 He strictly warned him, and immediately sent him out,
44 and said to him, “See you say nothing to anybody, but go show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing the things which Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.”
45 But he went out, and began to proclaim it much, and to spread about the matter, so that Jesus could no more openly enter into a city, but was outside in desert places: and they came to him from everywhere.
